I tried the lottery every year under Obama but never got tickets.

The ticket system was much more fair when people actually made huge sacrifices (!!!) and stood in line during the wee hours. Now, its 90% +\- about political favors, which is known, so people automatically take it as an endorsement of the current administration, for good reason.
Is that so? Here I thought it was a fair lottery process that I never won every year I tried.

+1. So much toxicity and sinister characters in this White House. Any other President I would have been fine to take my kids. But not this one.
Like Kennedy! He had awesome morals. Or Clinton. And the list goes on.
??? It's a good question, as evidenced by the thoughtful replies. Seems you're the one with the issue.

Exactly! I think Trump is the worst president in US History, but there is no way he'll be there. So,no worries.
This is OP. This is kind of how I feel. And almost more than that I don't feel like Trump should be able to ruin traditions like this. The easter egg roll happened before, will happen now and will happen when he's impeached.
I don't want to feel compromised but I also feel like not going to something like this is the kind of dig-your-heels-in move that is causing none of us to be able to talk to each other anymore.
