I have! Well, some. I'm probably more of a control freak than some and less than others.

My singled mom was a control freak. I really think the pizza renunciation was a response to her BS.

I think it was around 4 that I gave up pizza. I think it was about 4 years later that I 'tried' it and though to myself 'Why on Earth am I not eating this?'


I went on a few hunger strikes as a kid as a control thing. Even pizza didn't get me out of it.


My college roommate did this as a child, too. He used to proudly say that as a toddler he 'renounced the world'.


Was your college roommate Kanye?


No but he was, and still is, a musician. And back then he had delusions of grandeur, but not on Kanye's level.

One of my kids only ate the crust - no cheese, one only the cheese. That was easy. It was the crust no sauce kid that got us off pizza for years. Now they all like but it is a fight as to where we order from

Now, for OP - just make him a peanut butter & jelly sandwich - ordering pizza on Friday nights is about making an easy dinner for the family at the end of a long week. I get it. So just throw together a PB&J for your child and call it done!

My kids will tolerate it at parties (I'm not bringing food for anyone older than 2 or so). One likes pepperoni, the other cheese. But neither likes it enough to make it a meal at home, so I don't torture them. They eat a wide variety of food, just not pizza.
