Not to mention the fact that the cookies are actually trans-fat free....because they use palm oil, which is driving orangutans extinct and contributing to rainforest deforestation, global warming and all sorts of human rights abuses.
It's just too bad that we can't set up a booth asking for straight-up cash donations, and there's no other great way to raise funds for the troops (and the Council).
This times 1000! My first year as a co-leader and cookie manager. Insane. I think we were 5 boxes off. I have no idea what will happen in the system lol, since it's horrible and not user friendly in the slightest.
I agree, it sucks that we have to do BOTH product sales and cookie booths to be able to pursue alternative fundraising, and even then it has to be council approved. I also didn't realize they used palm oil. That's discouraging and makes me not want to sell them even more!
