Gray? Isn't that industrial grade?

No idea what that means.

Was he indian? All of my indian uncles wear diamond rings.

It's a tradition in my South Indian community for the bridegroom to recieve a diamond ring from the bride's family. My DH still keeps joking that he never got one.

It's round, and about a carat. I don't know how much it cost, I am guessing not that much because we were poor 25 year old grad students at the time. We are 45 now and I still like it.

1.71 ct round solitaire, nearly flawless, in a basket setting on a thin (maybe 2 mm?) white gold eternity band. It's beautiful. It was a waste of money and it lives in my underwear drawer.

Mine is "A light half" as the jeweler called it. .46 use it. It's old so it's a miners cut...whatever that means. It was 1,476.34. This was in 2008. We were both in grad school and that was almost to the dollar 2 months rent.

$1.5 million. Kept mostly in a safe. I wear it for parties every weekend.

Mine was maybe about a .5 carat solitary in a custom designed setting. No idea of cost, but we were right out of college so I'd guess no more than $2K.

Haven't worn it since we divorced after 18 years of marriage. I'm planing to sell it to a pawn shop and donate the money to a women's empowerment initiative in Africa.

Maybe 0.3 carats? Bypass setting. We were poor grad students when he proposed. I love it.

Simple thin white gold band. I love it.

I'm sorry about your divorce. On the bright side, you get to keep and sell the ring -- or reset it into something you like better.

1.5 carat princess cut set in an eternity band in yellow gold because I like yellow gold. My wedding band is a matching eternity band. I love it. I always get compliments on it.

2 carat round (E or F, don’t remember, VS2, XXX cut - confirmed to have ideal proportions on pricescope) on a thin, plain platinum band.

I like mine at all but quoting the prices to random internet strangers is beyond tacky.

Not when you’re humble bragging!! Which is all the op had in mind when she started the thread!
