After a cell biology class, I realized I just wasted money buying beauty products. Making an exception with retinol.
Do explain?

OP here: really?? So this was happening to you too? Interestingly if you Google this phenomenon, it's not unusual -- something to do with the serum oxidizing on your skin....
I just checked on Amazon. Ouch that stuff is expensive. Got anything less expensive to recommend?

Sephora carries Ole Henrikson (spelling?) vitamin c boost. They have 2 diff sizes and sometimes a really small sample size which lasts me a really long time. I pair it with some of my Paula’s choice products but think it works well

A lot of people suggest Timeless as a dupe for Skinceuticals: https://www.timelessha.com/products/20-vitamin-c-e-ferulic-acid-serum-1-oz
I use Timeless. Its good for 3 months. They suggest to keep it in the refridgerator if you can, but I don't. I do keep it in the original box to avoid exposure to light. Its clear and goes on smooth. You can tell when it starts to oxidize because it gets a little cloudy. Im usually ready for another bottle by that time and just get a new one. I think ist around $24 for a 3 month bottle.
