You sound like Nancy Pelosi. Or, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. A little out of touch, perhaps?
but ^PP has a point. People are going gaga over $1000 one time bonus while the uber rich get a 6% tax cut for eight years. It is kind of humiliating.
You think an hourly worker is "humiliated" when he gets a $1000 bonus? You are so out of touch with the working man.
I think it's humiliating for people to be celebrating for scraps being thrown their way while the uber rich feast.
If you were at the dinner table, and the person next to you got the choice cut of meat while you gut the burnt end bits, and the host said, "oh, aren't we generous for giving you food" , wouldn't you feel humiliated? I suppose if you were poor and a beggar you'd be glad for any scraps. That's the image I have. The Rs/Trump see the middle class as beggars who should be grateful for the tiniest morsels.
First, $1000 isn't "scraps." Get out of your bubble.
Second, with your dinner table example, you are acting as if everyone is equal - in terms of contributions, education, work effort, skills, ability, value to the company, etc. - which is of course the liberal utopia. If I were at a table with a sales director who brought in $10 million in sales and was rewarded with a $100 bottle of champagne, and I and the first line salespeople each brought in $500,000 and were rewarded with a $20 bottle of wine, I WOULd UNDERSTAND THAT. I wouldn't cry that I got a "scrap" while the person contributing more got more.

Interesting.
Back in Dec., 2011, Pelosi was promoting a payroll tax cut by Obama with this tweet:
"Today's agreement is a victory for the American people-they spoke out clearly & #40dollars each paycheck will make a difference.”
Wow, what a difference a change in administration can make. #HypocriteNancyPelosi
whoosh.. that's the sound of the point going over your head.....
It's not about the amount of the bonus or increase in wages in and of itself, like in the case you mention. It's about the fact that the 1% got a MUCH bigger tax cut than the middle, and the one time bonus (as nice as it is) is not the same as an on-going huge tax cut for the rich.
It's all relative. That's the point. If they got the bonus and $1/hour increase while the uber rich also got just a tiny increase, then that's fair. But, this lop sided tax cut and "give away" is otherwise pretty insulting to the middle class by the Rs.
So, you are upset that we no longer have the largest corporate tax in the developed world? Yeah, that is something to run on for the Democrats.

What percentage of the tax cuts is going to employees and new jobs?
For all of the companies listed.
I doubt there is an answer at this point and it may take a few years to see a clear trend.
There is a straight answer just for 2018. What % is the corporate tax cut? How much that is for Disney, Walmart.... and how much bonus they have given to executives in 2017? How much are they giving to the rest of the 99.9% employees?
