If you work full time your employer may not be ok with. You providing childcare too.

My employer knows and is fine with the arrangement, given I get all my stuff done (much of which is not time sensitive).

My husband only washes his own dishes and does not help out with anything(other than taking the trash out) after he gets back from work. He also expects all cleaning etc to be done by me.

Back when I was a SAHM (I am now FT WAHM) my job when my husband was at work was all tasks related to the home. Cleaning, laundry, cooking and obviously all kid related stuff. Once he got home he helped with the kids, dinner clean up, pretty much 50/50, if not more help with the kids so I could have some down time. It worked for us and we never had a formal arrangement but that's what it settled down to. If I ever felt like he was 'slacking' I would just ask him to step it up.

We've found success by treating SAHM as a literal job with hours. As a SAHM, my "hours" are like a normal workday, from roughly 7-5. During that time, I do all that needs to be done - managing the kids, doing laundry, meal prepping, cleaning, grocery shopping, you name it. When DH gets home, the responsibilities become split because we're both technically "off" work. One person will cook while the other cleans up, we'll both fold laundry in front of the TV, we'll alternate who brings the kids to practices, etc. It works well.
