I don't even know where I would find jeans that cheap.

Old Navy

Target

Walmart

H&M

TJ Maxx

Ross

Express on sale

Gap on sale

Forever 21

ECT ECT ECT

These are all fast fashion outlets. I pay a couple hundred bucks for jeans made here in the US, not in sweatshops in SE Asia. So don't pretend you have the moral high ground.

Not asking snarkily - what jeans do you wear?

I was walking around friendship heights a year or two ago and thought to myself that I could use a pair of jeans for $5 (but I wanted only brand new), so I wondered into the Gap and started looking through the folded jeans against the wall in the front of the store. I found the perfect pair of jeans in my size but no tag. I took it up to the register and she started typing in serial numbers on the tag and she said they were from last year and she would have to charge me $4.23! This actually happens to me all the time. I just concentrate at envision exactly what I want and how much I want to spend.

Ann Taylor or Ann Taylor Loft on 50 percent off sale. Around $35 or $40.

You can't be serious. I spend $200 on jeans and you know what, they look amazing! Oh, and I have about 10 pairs of them. I make a lot of money and save for retirement. What I spend is my business. What you spend is yours.

I drive a Prius, my boyfriend drives a $120K Porsche. I'll make sure I tell him to get his priorities straight. We've paid for our kids to go to college. Worry about yourself.

I'm frankly surprised at the low price point people have named. Isn't DCUM the land of $200k HHI (relative) poors? I thought jeans were a fashion statement not just durable casual pants. Don't people spend more than $50 for any kind of women's pants? For people not in their 20s.

Well, shoot. I? don’t even have a job and my limit for jeans is $250.

No one is impressed by this.

That’s okay, no one is impressed by $20 jeans either.

$85-$170. It’s the most worn pants. I’m petite and Lucky Jeans and Citizens Humanity petite options have fit me well.

I get my jeans from American Eagle these days. $40 a pair or two pairs for $60.

I did buy uber expensive jeans when I was in my 20s, but they were no different or better than these.

$80-100 on average.

Disagree that you can’t tell the difference between $20 jeans and $80-100.

Every pair of jeans I’ve had below $50 are thin and super stretchy (less percent of cotton), and lose their shape/quality within a year. After having to buy new jeans for $30 (ie Old Navy) every year, I started to invest in more premium denim. They last so much longer. It’s also, frankly, better for the environment as well to not buy a new pair of jeans every year.

I do get jeans for below $50 but they are almost always preowned classic Levis on eBay or Etsy or in the thrift shop. 98% cotton denim and last forever.

Let's see. I think I have 6 pairs of jeans in my current rotation. One was from Costco, what's that, about $20. Two were about $30-40. One was $90-ish, one was around $120, and one was $280.

I buy what feels good. Price is a secondary concern. My current favorite fit is actually from New York and Company (one of the $30-40 pairs). The more expensive ones so have a pretty luxurious feel, though. I wear them for date night, the less expensive ones for every day.
