TX was closer than IA in the Presidential race. NC, GA, TX, and FL yuppies are turning albeit a couple decades after their CO and VA counterparts.

So the R's get WI, MI, IA, OH, and PA. The D's get NC, GA, TX, and FL.

The gerrymandering suit may turn 2018 into a complete tidal wave.

This wave surely cancels the game fights D candidates put up in the various special elections earlier this year all of which were ultimately R holds.

If we have no tax cut passed by next summer, the generic Congressional ballot is showing D+12 consistently, his popularity stays in the 30s, Mueller keeps indicting more nad more friends and maybe even family of Trump, and Trump's had a monthly misstep for 6-7 months on the trot ... then and only then will the long knives come out. The GOP will have to decide whether to tie themselves to the Trump mast or if cutting loose might save a few of them.

Did you not see the multiple threads claiming a republican would win?? Was that just trolling?

Please polls had this race virtually dead-even. Per 538, Northam had a 3-point lead, he is winning by 8 points with Fairfax County absentees still left.

The Republicans are at serious risk of LOSING the General Assembly and even their best case shows them LOSING 13 seats.

This is the worst performance by Republicans in an odd-year election in a generation.
