Good! You are doing a great thing in sticking up for your son and showing him he deserves to be treated better. Filing the report is important.

This and your 5 year old isn't mature FYI. You sound like you're enabling by assigning to much blame to the 5th grader. Putting kids on long bus rides is a recipe for this, hell they don't always behave on long car rides with their parents. If I lived in the east county I would do private instead of these opt in programs if you are really looking for better enrichment or peer group.

I never said I think a Metro Bus is bad. That was the PP.

Personally I think the Metro Bus seats are more comfortable than the school bus seats. Metro Buses seem to be quieter. As an adult, if someone starts calling you names or says they hate you on the bus, you can take some action. At the very least, you can get off the bus and wait for the next one. The school bus is just one route with the same damn kids every day.

OP: Please file a bullying report immediately. Parents often think they can resolve issues with MCPS schools without the form, or by talking with parents. This is NOT the case in MCPS. You will only get a solution when you file an official report.
