Let me guess--you're new to this whole Internet thang. You really think that someone is going to be able to figure out from these small snippets who these anonymous posters are and where they live? Even Jeff can't reliably determine who the anonymous posters are other than that two posts are by the same person. He has access to the IP addresses, which means he can tell who the employers are (for those who post from work), and he can tell who your ISP is and usually what state you're posting from. Beyond that, it's not very accurate.

Haha, how do you know you computer hasn't been hacked by Russian spyware and is selling off locally sourced keyword searches to local gangs?

At least direct money making hacking, versus the political manipulation of election via hacking and social media spoofing.

Whatever is in our wallets, maybe 50 bucks? I never use cash anymore. Pay our sitter with venmo, even the farmers market stalls take credit cards. I can use Apple Pay at most vending machines. I have a hard time envisioning some sort of natural disaster that would take everything offline in this area. We have enough charging banks that I would be able to PayPal money to whoever from my phone.

I have $1200 stashed away. Husband has none. We keep $5000 in a locked gun safe built in the man closet.

When my kids visit I hide my jewelry and money. Don't ask why. I just do it.

I do have a fire proof safe in the basement which holds my important documents, gold, and a couple pistols and ammo. which are also very nice commodities to have in the event of a natural disaster type of event.

Not a good idea in the event of flooding. Ours is on an upper floor for just this reason.

walk out basement. no worry of flooding more than inch deep

I recognize that it is good to have for emergency preparedness but don't always actually through and do it. We once had about $600 in small bills in a designated spot in the house. Although that cash was for an emergency (I mean an emergency like all electricity is knocked out and you need to pay somebody in cash to get some gas in your car), we ended up treating it like it was an ATM. I need to replenish that.
