We live in Canada and over half of kids are not circ.
Your sons do not thank you all the time for this. What a dumb thing to say.

The scalpels are sharp and waiting for you".he didn't do anything. He's in his late 20s now and judging by the tiny bit I know about his dating life he's not having any problems.
Like any body thing that might be different (like a big birthmark) kids are going to feel weird about it. No one wants to be different.
I'd explain to him that it used to be standard operating procedure in the US only but it's going out of favor. (Show him statistics). So their are plenty of other guys out there. Also may want to mention that when erect it's very difficult if not impossible to tell the difference between circumcised and not.
Thanks; I've gone over all the stats and why we made that decision. I also told him that any girl who won't have sex with him because of that isn't worth his time, but of course at 17, his main mission in life since he's committed to a college is losing his virginity. I think it will also help when he goes away to college where he may not be one of the only young men not cut.
Wow. This is how you discuss sexual morals with your son?
Anonymous wrote:My 17 year old son is unhappy because we didn't have him circumcised as an infant and thinks his genitalia is ugly." Anyone else deal with this?
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Nope. Sixteen year old son is perfectly fine being uncircumcised.
Mine was too at 16.
I have a teanage boy and I HIGHLY doubt he is discussing his contentment with his penis with you, his mom.
In fact, I am going to go out on a limb and say there is no way in hell your teenage boy has told you he is glad he is not circumcised.
I have 2 teenage boys, one circ'ed and one not. Neither of them has ever complained to me about how his penis looks.

Yes, but good luck getting sex. Circ guys get more sex and BJs.
