There was a This American Life episode on the Rockville rape & the narrator was so absurdly biased and pro-illegal immigrant that he justified illegal immigrant violent crime by saying something to the effect of "We found that most illegal immigrant crime is actually done to other illegal immigrants." Umm... great??! And they always get slick with their words when talking about illegal immigrant crime to avoid addressing narcotics, identity theft and DUIs.
Here's the episode, Ann Coulter is interviewed at the end, which is the best part:

Can you provide a link that says the sex was consensual? There was still a charge for child porn.
I followed the case pretty closely and I thought they were simply unable to gather enough evidence? Also not certain that the sex was consensual with TWO men. Hadn't she only agreed to have sex with one man?
I am good friends with someone who was very closely involved in the case. She did it for money. Was not her first time doing so either. The child porn charge stemmed from sharing of nude pics of her and she is underage.
And we should believe you? Why? Plus if your friend is a teacher or other professional at the school, she has just violated student confidentiality. Lovely in either case!

Anonymous wrote:But, don’t illegal aliens just want to come here to have a better life? Aren’t they just coming here to be safe and escape violence in their home countries? Aren’t they the hard-working people who take jobs that our own citizens won’t do?
This is what I hear all the time here, so it’s just a bit confusing.

That's because you missed out on critical thinking skills.
The more stories that come out about illegal aliens committing rape and murder, the more I know that it is the conservatives who have strong critical thinking skills and it is the liberals (who support illegal immigration) that have damaged frontal lobes.
And DeVos agenda that supports white rapisst on campus should ensure no white people ever get convicted of rape. Let just worry about the 5% of rapes in this nation that are committed by Hispanics.
Sorry but Devos is actually correct on this one.
Colleges should not be mandated by the federal government to deprive students of their due process rights. Every citizen in this country, even murderers, has this right. Colleges are not skilled enough or equipped to properly deal with and investigate a sexual assault accusation. Universities should never be in the business of investigating and trying sexual assault. Any allegations of sexual assault should be turned over to the authorities. Period.

Are you sure the girl was selling sex for money? I'd be interested in hearing more about that.
My neighbors and I are zoned for Rockville HS so we followed the story very closely.
It was widely reported that she immediately told a teacher at the high school. If she is an underage prostitute, then why did she report it right away?
Let's say that she agreed to meet one of the boys for sex in the bathroom.
If she talked about it beforhand, but told him no at any point, it is still rape. If she agreed to sex with one of the boys and he brought a friend, it is still rape. If she agrred to intercourse, but the two boys sodomized her and forced her to perform oral sex on her after sodomizing her, it is still rape.

Sorry, but not public school.
First off, at least in MCPS, they often don't require much identification, so a man may actually be over the age of 18, and still allowed in a HS. This has come up before. Also, birth certificates can be easily forged in Latin American (and other) countries, so there is really no way of knowing how old these men actually are.
So you want to pay for them to attend private school from what...suspected age 14 and up? Or are you lobbying to change federal law and deny education based on ethnicity and immigration status?
An alternative school like Bryant but focused on language skills and assimilation to the US woukd be a good option.

And why shouldn't white college students afforded basic due process? The left (generally correctly) pushes for greater due process for those accused of crimes and undocumented immigrants facing deportation and/or criminal charges. Eye witness statements and other evidence is often (again generally correctly) is viewed skeptically. Yet, in the context of rape cases, especially on campus, the alleged victim's account is taken as sacrosanct and any effort to question the account or the accompanying evidence is viewed as improper.
Mediation is not due process. Colleges should report suspected rapes to police and get out of the process.
Colleges should not be mediating criminal investigations. That is the definition of impeding an investigation.
I am conservative and I want rapes to be dealt with by trained investigator not some touchy feely professor who cares more about their reputation.
It's embarrassing for real conservatives what this administration is doing.
But what you are describing is the antithesis of the Obama rules. I agree colleges should largely be out of the process, but under the current process the colleges are judge, jury, and executioner - often with the accused being denied even the most basic due process rights.
I no longer work at a university directly dealing with these issues so I haven't followed the detailed specifics of DeVos approach. Maybe it is also flawed. But the Obama rules are a real black mark for an administration otherwise focused on justice issues.
