Totally agree! Boat shoes are in no way polished.

And 2-3 pairs of pants like this http://m.shop.nordstrom.com/s/zella-live-in-high-waist-leggings/4312529
(I would do black and one color)
Then go to target and buy 2-3 nude bras that fit right now that you can breastfeed in. Don't delay on this!
And some cute sneakers (low cut Chuck taylors).

You're welcome. Good luck!!!
Not snark. Real question. Do you wear the leggings and that shirt out of the house or is that your outfit for at home?
Not PP but I usually work from home and wear these exact pants and these exact t shirts ALL THE TIME. I often wear a black athletic tank under the tee for more support and coverage. Usually wear a sports bra. Usually wear sneakers or flip flops.
In the fall I wear tall camel flat Born boots or gray sweater material boots with sweaters or vests or long cardigans.
I'm tall, thin, have long straight blonde hair and wear light makeup and simple jewelry (pearl or diamond studs and pearl or diamond necklace) daily. It works. I dress up to go to the office, and when I am home dress clothes or jeans often feel like I'm wearing a starched straightjacket.
What does this have to do with anything?

+1. No woman wears polos. And if they do, they shouldn't.
+2 POLOS? Seriously??
+3. I don't know where the Polo poster lives, but I live in the Bethesda area and the only women who wear polos are playing tennis or golfing. Polos are NOT in fashion!!!!
The moms running around with babies are all in athletic wear (even often at the Mall and on playdates). Take a look at Athleta, Lucy, Zella at Nordstrom, Lululemon if you have a bigger budget. That is what all the moms are wearing at preschool drop off. Find some exercise pants that fit you nicely and then buy them in different patterns/colors. The tops depend on your figure. If you are curvier, you need looser ones that cover your butt (I need these). If you are really skinny you can get away with more fitted tops. (Not fair, but that's how it is). On days they want to look more put together, but not too put together (play group, music class etc), the moms wear jeans and a top and the addidas type shoes that have made a comeback or converse as another poster suggested. For a nicer look for fall days you put on some ankle boots, jeans, and a sweater. If you want to wear tanks with built in support, get a sweater like this to toss over it if you are going further than your mailbox: http://athleta.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=1079107&pcid=1078932&vid=1&pid=228813082 or. http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/zella-hatha-cardigan/4412819?origin=category-personalizedsort&fashioncolor=GREY%20DARK%20HEATHER

Boat shoes in the summer, boots and tights in the winter. I always feel better dressed than the athleisure crowd. It's all machine washable and made out of the same comfortable rayon and cotton fabrics. I don't understand the love of yoga pants and tshirts. A dress is one article of clothing, that saves you 50% time choosing separates!
What do you wear for shoes? I'm assuming bare legs and feet?

This sounds nice but does it get annoying to send out so much dry cleaning??
NP. I just checked out the Equipment brand, never heard of it before. Those shirts are over $200! You wear them every day under a sweater? Don't you sweat a lot?
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Oh my god I cannot believe people are suggesting POLOS you guys are dinosaurs
I a dinosaur and I haven't worn a polo since the 80s!!!!
Hell no would this 47-year old woman ever wear a polo again.
I was in my teens in the era of Prep when I last sported one.
I'd feel like an old Lesbian at the Dinah Shore golf tournament in one.
