This baby is going to have difficulties because of its parents. You can either choose to be an influence and force for good, for health, for stability and role modeling in your new baby relative's life, or let this new life down and disappoint her. The choice begins for you right now.
You have a new relative and you are going to have a brand new relationship with this relative that is going to actually be separate from the relationship with the mother. It is a tremendous opportunity for you and for the baby who is in a really vulnerable situation because of the mom's decisions.

How could you not find a card that fits the situation?
Do most new baby cards say "Congratulations on your new within-wedlock bundle of joy!"?
