It's just not good and I tried to like it but no. She is her best on the Red album. That sort of vibe just suits her lyrics and voice best. "Red" and "All Too Well" are STILL great songs. When she tries this stuff, I can't do it. This song in particular is just beyond juvenile for someone who is almost 30.

Kanye called Taylor & told her he would reference having sex with her.
He only played a portion of his new song for her, not the entire finished one.

She was flattered & gave her blessing.

Later on, Kanye added the "bit#%" line and never told Taylor about it according to Taylor.
There was nothing recorded of Taylor saying she was okay with being called a B.

And why was Kanye recording the conversation anyway....??!....
He knew he would need the video to make Taylor look like a supposed liar.
To distract anyone who sees it.
But it does not prove a thing.

Taylor is NEVER giving her blessing about being called a B.
He never told her that line on any part of the video.

I find her completely fascinating - just the enormity of her celebrity and her influence, her fastidiously curated image and the way the public is always, always watching and analyzing her every.single.move.

I used to think she was very overrated - I just didn't get her appeal and even when Kanye famously interrupted her at the music awards I thought she was taking herself waaaay too seriously by getting so upset. I thought he was an a-home, but more of an artist than she would ever be.

Then my DD became a "swiftie" and I totally changed my time. I really loved her album 1989, and I think she's an incredibly talented songwriter. When Ryan Adams (is that his name?) released an album covering all her songs from 1989, I could really appreciate that her songs stood alone as solid works of writing.

So I'm a fan, and I'm watching her with fascination to see what she does next, and how she manages her image and career going forward.
