Only Coast Guard has the shuttle. The rest have parking lots at the beach. But some of those lots fill up quickly. Nauset Light is almost always full at midday. Marconi has a bigger lot. There are usually signs on Rt 6 with lot status. It's probably online somewhere too.

no, we go to nauset light and we park at the beach entrance.

Except for the greenhead flies. I went there all the time when I was little since we were Barnstable residents. I would leave the beach with blood pouring off my appendages. Those flies are vicious! I refuse to go there now.

Is it an association beach or your own beach? We have an association beach that is a private beach for our neighborhood (along with a dock) but that doesn't seem very private to me. And while we use the dock we rarely use the beach because I prefer the Seashore beaches.

In our town there just aren't that many houses with their own beaches.


There are different variations of private beach. You don't have any reason to know this unless you reside at the Cape. If you are visiting, it doesn't apply to you, anyway.
