Our experience and wisdom? Take a look at this forum; you'll be agonizing over the same things 20 years from now, just with wrinklier skin and fewer periods.

And to this I would add that there's nothing like traveling when you're young. While it's still fun to travel when you're older, it's just different.

Do you really want to see places from a bus tour or a cruise? Probably not.

A youth hostel is not that great, either.

These are all great suggestions but I have one to add that hasn't been mentioned. If you really want kids and aren't close to getting married, spend the money now to do one round of IVF (just the egg retrieval part). It will be way easier to get a good number of viable eggs at a SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper cost than wasting years and $$$ later if you don't meet you're spouse until your late 30s or even 40s. When I think about how much money my DH and I could have saved if I had just spent a few thousand $ 10 years ago...

Oh but there is. At 52, I can assure you that the older you get, the more established and surer you will get of yourself and your priorities, but the tougher certain physical things will be. I wish I had spent more money in my mid 30s to make my life easier. I'd have less money now but I'd have better memories. Enjoy the heck out of your youth! Plan for the future, but don't let worries consume you.

My mom died at 63, so only if we're lucky.

Exercise and eat healthy

Make as many friends as you can

Live within your means

Find something to enjoy about each day.

Remember birthdays

Keep working and saving money

Exude confidence

THIS - is great advice.

Pay it forward

Don't throw your marriage in the trash because it's hard. Trouble blows over, people grow and kids grow older. Being divorced is not necessarily easier than a difficult marriage.

Don't have more kids than you can afford

Don't work your life away
