I lived in Slovakia for 5 years and this is a common name there. In Slovak/Czech, it is pronounced LOOT-see-ah, and I still have 2 good friends (1 Slovak, 1 Czech) with this name/pronunciation. I've never met an American/other Lucia, so I say it the way my friends with the name say it.

People from Spain would actually pronounce it "Lu-thee-ah." Spanish lisp.

People from South/Central America who speak Spanish would say "Lu-see-ah"

I had a childhood friend who was Czech. Pronounced it Loot-See-ah

I know 2 Lucias. One pronounces it Loo-CHEE-uh, the other one pronounces it Loo-SEE-uh. I prefer the latter pronunciation.
