Funny, I am hip and urbane, and I am terrified of any men or women with guns. In a mugging they may not shoot you, but they can do a lot of damage by bashing you with a gun butt. BTDT.

As a white woman I'm not as worried about the paranoid racists as much as the paranoid nut jobs who want to shoot up a school or movie theater or whatever. But basically crazy white dudes with guns scare me.
These nuts make up a tiny amount of homicides in the US, so lots of other stuff to be concerned about.
But there is a small segment of our population responsible for approx 5,000 homicides a year, and they aren't crazy white dudes.

Yes, that's right. A study by the Nation Institute going back over the last 8 years found that right wing extremists have been involved in far more domestic plots and plotting than anyone else, they are twice as big of a danger to Americans than muslim extremists are.

Another white lady here who really doesn't fear Muslims. But I do fear those angry white men who have frustrated entitlement and excessive, explosive anger.
Seriously. What's their issue? Funneling their own feelings of inadequacy towards hatred of others? I don't get it.

+2 As an Asian woman with children. I've had my child's school go on shelter in place due to a crazed "American" gun man not too far away. I've never worried about attacks from extremist Muslims, and I live near an Islamic center, which is also near a Jewish synagogue and a Catholic church.

This report is 100% accurate and true. Not that terrorists aren't a worldwide problem - clearly they are. But the white Extremists are truly terrifying because they have stockpiled firearms and are so brainwashed.
