Your example was a lot less confrontational, in fact wasn't directly confrontational, than the person I responded to was suggesting.

And as for me, leave them alone. If you are raising your children correctly they will know what this person represents and it will not influence them. And there are so many examples one can give of less than stellar individuals including those who use explicit profanity in public.

OP here. You've all perfectly illustrated why I feel so conflicted over this. Of course I wouldn't want to provoke this stranger and endanger my family, but it felt so wrong to say nothing.

Not necessarily confronting him directly, but reporting to an employee, or taking pictures and link the social media account of the park. If they don't already have a policy regarding neo-nazi tattoos, they'll come up with one very quickly after that.

I take my kid and get out of there. There are some things people do because they're young and foolish and want to piss off their parents. A swastika isn't one of those things. This person is damaged. He may have his rights, but wisdom says you stay away from potentially destabilizing situations. Maybe he's "cool" but someone else sees them and goes after him.
