The problem is, you can't saddle someone with a name like that and expect them to live up to it.

I really don't see a huge problem with Jimothy – as long as you make sure he always has the option of going by Jim. Jimothy may strike many as a bizarre made up name, but it's been around for a few years. I personally know a Jimothy working at my local Safeway, great boy.

We named my first DD after both of her (then) recently passed grandmothers – Mary and Esther – Masther, or Mas for short. She has never dealt with any bullying and really loves her name. So: you do you, OP! But if you're only doing it to stick with the J names, don't.

If my family had been intent on same first initials my sister would have been named Matherine. jimothy is an absurd fake name.
