Teachers can't just plan events with parent participation and assume it's fine. This is on the teachers.

Why would K parents attend? It's an event for students and their teacher.

Take a picture as your K student trekking off to the last day of school and post that to your Facebook page or Instagram feed.

This sounds asinine. Why are these children being snowflaked? They're Kindergartners. The reward for finishing the year is summertime. And, progress to 1st grade.

They're not special - they're like every other 5 year old in the free world.

So from this I gather that there are some parents who wanted to have a graduation for their K kid because they didn't attend PK and/or they know another school that has a K graduation. So they decided to create a graduation and party on their own, without considering the fact that this school already has it's own promotion/graduation tradition and has already set aside time for an end of year party.

Yeah, the parents got it wrong this time.

I hope these parents can get their deposits back on the parade down Constitution Avenue and fireworks display they seem to think is necessary for sitting still in class long enough to be promoted past kindergarten.
