Yup. This is my "profoundly gifted" DD too. Down to the accompanying anxiety. Google 2e and the link between very gifted kids and anxiety. It's real.

This rang true for my DS.

At 3 my son was reading basic books, knew the 50 states and could put together his wooden states puzzle (perhaps 40 pieces as some states are combined) with no input from me. Not autistic or anything. He knew numbers and could count and add.

But no idea if he is any kind of genius, he is just s kid. He 6 now, yes he is doing great at school but you never know.

At 2 he was not talking and behind in motor skills and looked like a candidate for EI. Things change with little kids a lot.
