She did not disclose why he was on Activan, but usually that's for anxiety or panic disorder, not depression. So she called security to have them check on him in person and he was found. A side effect of Activan is increased paranoia and suicidal thoughts. I take Xanax, another benzo, drs are super clear how dangerous it can be if you take too much. Besides the bad thoughts, you can also just fall asleep and never wake up (like Heath Ledger). So sorry for this family.

That makes sense

I personally don't know his financial status. Many artists/celebrities have blown through all their money and ended up in debt.
There's a difference between being a performer in a band that had a few hits and being the writer of dozens of platinum selling songs in multiple groups. He has retained the publishing rights to much of his catalog, which is a vast. His net worth is probably hovering in the $30 million range.

I saw an article that said his wife asked a friend to check on him after the concert. The friend broke into his hotel room and found the body. She must have had reason to be concerned.
I also read that. But I'm also reading that his family is disputing the ME's findings and when the wife did speak to him the previous night, nothing suggested he was depressed.
