Wouldn't be the first time, IIRC.

I don't think Nixon threatened American citizens. Trump makes Nixon look like an angel.
Time for Republicans to stand up for the country. Silence = complicity

Nixon also never sold out our country to a hostile foreign power. Although Nixon was despicable in many ways, he would NEVER betray his country to our enemies. Trump on the other hand doesn't care as long as HE WINS.
Many parts of this are disturbing, but for me the most dangerous part is -- what has Trump told/promised Russia?
Do you not think if there was evidence of that we would know it? It would have been revealed long ago. Even the Democrats in Congress have said there is no evidence of that.
This is just your wishful thinking. Were you concerned when Obama said to tell Putin that he would be more flexible after the election? We do have evidence of that.
Our President right now, as demonstrated by this morning's tweetstorm, is coming completely unhinged. He is paranoid, delusional, and saying anything to try to get out the mess he's found himself in.
Two days ago he met with Lavrov, the longtime Russian foreign minister, and, SURPRISE! - Kislyak, the ambassador who apparently is the expert Russian spymaster.
In the oval office.
Alone.
Trump, besides the fact he's in completely over his head, is psychologically very vulnerable to flattery & sympathy. Did you see the pictures the RUSSIAN news service (not ours, because they weren't allowed in) released of the 3 of them yucking it up? These are high government officials of the country that tried to influence our election, just a few months ago. They attacked the bedrock of our democracy - yes, THEY ATTACKED US - and Trump is having a good ole time. And then last night he puts on twitter this "Let's make peace"

Are you fucking kidding me?

It's called Executive Priviledge and I would hope that anyone conversing with a President, off the record or not, and especially a member of the administration would respect that confidentiality. I really think Trump is just saying that Comey should adhere to the protocol of the office, something any President would expect. You really are blowing this way out of proportion, but that seems to be the way these days. This is why Trump is always tweeting, not because he is an attention whore, he is probably just trying to get the truth out there, not the media talking point. The left is coming at him full throttle day and night and has been for sometime now, with no signs of stopping. Most of us who support Trump have gotten use to it and simply tune out and turn off any of the left's noise at this point, you are falling on deaf ears. In fact, you seem a little crazy at this point. Hopefully Trump will learn to ignore anything they say, press or not, and stop thinking he can change the left's minds. It won't happen, ever. He will never get the press to cover him fairly and he will never get the support of the left. And it saddens me to add that I will never be able to find anything in common with the left, you are too confrontational and controlling for my needs. This really saddens me, for my children and my country.
Sorry, my eyes just popped out of my head from rolling so hard. But seriously, I'm so sorry you are sad, for your children and your country. Prayers.
By the way, there is no "d" in privilege. It's privilege, not priviledge, and there is no such thing as an "executive privilege," or "executive priviledge," that allows presidents to tweet threats designed to impede a federal investigation.
NP. C'mon, I think the "Executive Priviledge" PP was just being facetious and having a laugh at Trump's expense. His post was too over-the-top to be real. Can't you recognize that no one's going to believe something that bizarre?

Well said! Wait, what are you saying exactly?

Thread title is silly. Trump "threatened" Comey with the truth. "If you don't tell the truth, I'll show the world tape evidence, if there's any."
