Subject: Black teacher applicants face discrimination in FCPS
What I noticed at a Ffx ES is the only AA staff members are a bit aggressive, kind of instilling fear in young kids. Not sure if they are instructed to do so, but I do know parents noticed the same. I have no problem at all with AAs who are kind, well educated and honest.

A police officer can pull you over for speeding. But if he finds dead bodies in your car it doesn't matter what his initial intent was. We've got some more serious shit on our hands that need to be addressed. You can't say the corpses don't matter because he was looking for speeders.
Furthermore, your position does is simply not logical.
One conclusion that could logically be made from the study is that there are too many black administrators. Should they reexamine that as well, and lower hiring or let some go? That doesn't seem to make sense.
Fairfax could, internally or externally, audit their hiring. That would be more useful than this study.

If they're willing to be HONEST, there is MUCH that Fairfax can learn from this study.
This study covered one year--it was five years ago. Doubtful that Harvard would have published it had it reached a different conclusion.
Easy to justify and dismiss findings when you're not the one been treated adversely.
Do you really believe FCPS had just one bad year of racist practices--which just so happened to be the year the study is based on????
Harvard does not publish bullshit, half-assed research.

The WaPo article and the study didn't seem to focus on the screening test, which may be intentionally or unintentionally biased, or may tend to disfavor black applicants, but not Asian or Hispanic applicants, for some other reason. It seemed significant to me.
Of course the researchers would say this. Without it, there is nothing to research. Duh!!
Your logic is so flawed. The bolded was a finding based on the research. They went in not knowing what they'd find.

As a researcher, you should know that "seemed" is not precise. It means that the conclusions are based on an appearance.
Again, your logic is terribly flawed.
