NP, and I agree. Bethenny is SO AWARE of the camera and the public at all times. Like, enough with the product placements. If you really wanted to bring a hostess gift for Sonja, or a welcome gift for Tinsley, bring something nice that doesn't scream SKINNY GIRL. She also has this "oh it's so casual" way of talking about her press stuff...like one reunion where there was a rumor she was dating A-Rod, and she was like, "Oh yes, the B-Rod thing." Like, no one in the world was ever calling that B-Rod. Stop.

I don't think Bethanny and Carole are any more "themselves" on the show than any of the other women. True, Bethanny has remained true to her fake "I am so real" line of BS for a while now. Carole is highly uninteresting on her own, and I think that's why she's glommed onto being Bethanny's meangirl beta so she can get more screen time.

Personally, I am loving Carole's political talk this season.

Actually, Carole seems to be de-icing a little bit, so here's hoping. But last season they were both THE WORST.

I like Lu, overall. She has her very fun, endearing moments...and her insufferable, tone-deaf moments. But overall, I like her.

Here's my take on them. They don't care. They are themselves on a reality TV show. Like them or don't like them. Bethenny has been pretty consistent over a long career on Bravo. She's not going to talk to her PR agent over the summer and come back acting any different. For me, that makes her a good Housewife because I don't feel like I'm watching scripted bullshit, which is how I now feel about Beverly Hills. They are all so hyper aware of their images and their storylines that the show sucks.

I remember this from last season that DCUM is definitely a LuAnn-apologist crowd.

Don't get it. She's the worst. So full of shit, desperate, self-absorbed, and a terrible friend. I thought the way she treated Sonja last year about the whole Tom debacle was horrid. Your classic woman who will do anything to be with a guy and everyone else is the problem, never the loser guy. So gross.

I clench/grind my teeth badly when I sleep, and this caused years of terrible daytime headaches and expensive tooth wear. I now have Botox for it, and this has dramatically changed my jawline: the doctor who does it says it is common for people with severe bruxism (nighttime grinding/clenching) to have visibly overdeveloped jaw muscles, and for the muscles to diminish markedly with Botox.

I remember Bethenny talking about her night guard (these are used for bruxism) in a past episode (I noted this because it was around the time I was thinking about starting Botox in my jaw for my own bruxism). If she has severe bruxism and gets Botox in the jaw muscles for it, this is what changed her jaw. It is possible. And bruxism is a horrible condition.

My SIL is convinced I have had surgical modification on my jawline, but it is truly just the Botox to stop my bruxism. The results were that dramatic.

OK. She was wearing a dress and a hat. A dress with color, like the invitation said: c-o-l-o-r.

It was a really ugly dress. I noticed and thought it was hideous before anyone even said anything to her. Very 90s. Ramona's comment to her about the dress looking Laura Ashley and like something you'd find in a small shop in CT was dead on.

Yeah, but...OK? I mean, sure, I didn't like the dress. But you know what was uglier than the dress? Carol, Bethenny, Ramona and that butler saying snarky things about it.

She wasn't wearing S&M gear to a garden party, she was wearing a floral dress to a garden party. End of story.

Agree it was rather frumpy but at least it was more garden party like than say what some of the others had on! So snarky like they looked any better? I think not. At least Luann is a beautiful woman, they are downright homily. That mouth on Carole and the jar on Bethanny, yikes!
