Truth is, Thailand is beautiful. It has some of the best beaches in the world. The idea of going there as a couple is totally legit and would be great. But the idea of him going alone? Sorry, no effing way.

I'm a woman who lived in se Asia. My estimate is that around 99% of men who travel there solo partake in the sex industry. Honestly most are not pedophiles although some are and this area of the world attracts this. That is more found in Cambodia and Vietnam these days although I'm sure it can be found in bkk as well. Most men are are seeking more sexual experiences with more beautiful and younger women than they can get at home. There are a lot of very poor people in these countries so money goes further when purchasing sexual experiences.

If my husband informed me he was taking a solo trip there, we'd have a long discussion about it. If he insisted on going I would probably leave. Btw, I often travel solo and he does as well. I'd imagine he'd have pretty serious concerns if I informed him I was traveling solo to one of those places in the Caribbean that are known to provide local men for lonely ladies.

Has he been to other areas of the world multiple times?

My idea of a solo vacation would be going fly fishing someplace not flying half way around the world to have sex with a lady boy

Not sure in general but I definitely had a married professor in college who took frequent solo trips to Thailand that ultimately ended up being arrested for having a ton of child pornography.
