It may be good if you aren't skilled at using a round brush, but for me the drier ended up feeling heavy in my hand and didn't do anything I can't do with a round brush. It was harder to get my roots dry and it kept burning my head/ears when it got close enough to dry the roots. I hope amazon lets me return it!

Me too! It is faster to dry my hair but it is super heavy and cramps my hand bc the handle is super wide. Also, I have to get roots with regular hair dryer and round brush and I thought I burned my eye lashes this morning while doing a front section of my hair!!! It hurt like hell and my eye was red. Lashes haven't fallen out yet, thank god.

OP, I just ordered this for my teenager based on your post. You better not be some sort of paid shill who keeps reposting positive experiences here!!!

I ordered this and just used it for the first time today. I have never been able to make my hair look as good as it did today on my own. Thanks, OP! Am recommending this to everyone!

^^ forgot to add the cons - it is extremely loud! also, when on high, my temples were getting burned as I was doing the front of my hair.

I was skeptical about this as I have thick, curly middle eastern hair but I ordered it anyway as I'm always looking for something that will save me a bit of time and money - I regularly go for blowouts - and I also don't like the way my hair looks after using a flat iron.

This is pretty good! My hair is bra length in the back and it took me about 45 minutes. It didn't leave me with the shine that a professional blowout leaves me with, but I have volume, it is straight and bouncy and it even got the baby hairs in the front so I didn't need to use an extra tool.

The true test will be during the summer when it is humid but for now, it is worth the $60. Thanks OP!

I had no problem holding it up but I have some upper body strength from pilates & yoga. If you're not very fit, I can imagine that might be a problem.

I got the round brush - and it straightens (just like using a round brush while blow drying).

I just put it in my cart. THANK YOU, OP!!!

I have been alternating between traditional blow outs with a paddle brush and the ceramic hair brush straightener some have mentioned. Because I have a lot of hair (not thick, but lotsa hair), the heated brush creates a sort of triangle effect. It's hard to thin out the waves underneath, especially in the back. I'm hoping this product will give a more polished look. Now, my hair looks okay, but not like I did it. Full, straight-ish hair. Looking forward to smooth and shiny!!

The reviews on Amazon speak directly to people with hair like mine. You don't have to have fine hair to benefit evidently. It works on thicker, wavy hair as well.

What products do you use along with it? A heat protector, I imagine. Do you also use a silicon sealant afterward to help with frizzies and add shine?

Where do you spend the most time? I've heard from other posters about the root issue, but what about smoothing the ends? Do you apply extra effort there?

Thanks again, OP!! A time-saving product is something of great value. And, Amazon Prime is paying off, once again!!

NP here. I bought this hair dryer based on OP's recommendation and ITA that it's great! I've now used it 2x and it definitely saves time blowing out my thick and wavy hair. I no longer need to use any other styling tools to get it to look just like I walked out of the salon. Thank you!!!
