Hi - I work in animal welfare/rescue, and am not here to judge you. Luckily, a doodle should be pretty easy to place with a new family.
I'd say reach out to some local rescue groups and ask for their help placing your dog in a wonderful home. Try Lost Dog And Cat Foundation and Homeward Trails to start. Let them know if you can do what's called "fostering in place" while they look for a new family for your dog - that means that your dog can stay with you until they're adopted to someone else. You will get the chance to help pick the new family that way, too.

Me too, getting dog is a life long commitment to the dog. If you can't do it, don't get one.
I hate this thinking and I foster rescue dogs. I've placed a lot of dogs in new homes and follow those dogs that went to friends of mine and I'm pretty sure the dogs are a lot happier in their new homes. It is because these people are too busy, have a serious illnsss or that they just kind of suck as people that the dog needs a new home - but think of the dog and don't criticize them. Hopefully the dog is going on to a better life. Help them rehome the dog in a pleasant manner.
