The love between Barack & Michelle is something I could only hope to have. Two accomplished professionals who are genuine.

Even though there's no white house gynecologist, i'm pretty sure these first ladies aren't going 8 yrs without seeing anyone. They're either seeing someone at one of the nearby military facilities or their personal doctor when they go back to Chicago, Texas etc. In any event, I'm sure these doctors are aware that they can't just hand a first lady a script for something and expect her to go to CVS to fill it; so I'm willing to bet a drug is prescribed and while she waits in the office, it is filled at a hospital pharmacy under another name and then a dr. just hands it to her so she can drop it in her purse and go.

I don't think he's an aloof loner -- I think he's very friendly and personable -- just look at how people flock to him. But I do agree that both Michelle and Hillary were strivers determined to hitch their wagon to a rising star and it worked out for both of them.

DH and I have similar backgrounds wrt relationships and have a kind loving longstanding marriage. Some people just wait it out until they meet their life partner and go from there. Everyone is different.

Barack seems like an aloof loner to me. Michelle is a smart and crafty striver in the same sense that Hillary is. Both hitched their wagons to men that appeared destined to rise to the top. Without their husbands Hillary and Michelle would be two corporate lawyers we would have never heard of.

I think it is very genuine. You can't fake the way they look at each other. Obama, who is a great man by pretty much any metric, STILL believes he batted out of his league with Michelle. She has his back but isn't afraid to tell him what he needs to hear either. He fully credits her with making sure he stayed focused on being a good dad in his presidency. I think many people have happy marriages with people they are compatible with but there's those few who really seem to be matched with THEIR person and the Obamas are one of those to me.

Who knows but it seems like ambition clouded things for one or both of them. Barack probably always had ambitions to be in the national spotlight and she sure as heck wasn't going to spend her life married to a lowly state senator. They did what they had to do to get him there - but you wonder if between that and raising the kids, they lost some of the genuine affection for each other.

That they do. I can't comment on the ins and outs of their relationship, but I greatly appreciate that during the Obama years we didn't have to deal with infidelity scandals.

Not everyone is in to having multiple boyfriends or girlfriends.

As for people not saying they dated them, some people have class and don't rush to the first gossip site they can to kiss & tell about their former celebrity love.

Lastly, stop using the word in bold to describe people it's highly offensive and best reserved for dogs, snakes, and birds.
