Ok -- I agree with this, but this woman's son isn't an asshole... he is an over active 13 year old with some mental health issues that are being addressed. MANY boarding schools are great for this type of kids. Jr boarding schools (usually 5 - 9th grade in the US) are filled with this type of boy.

May I also suggest, in addition to all of the excellent suggestions above, that you look into your child's diet, nutrition, and general health.

For starters, he should take a multivitamin, a vitamin in C supplement, and a fish oil supplement (important for mental health) daily. He clearly gets enough exercise, but does he eat enough fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, eggs, beans, and dairy? Have you thought about limiting his gluten intake by cutting back on certain cereals, pasta, and bread? Some people with gluten allergies swear that change made an enormous difference in their lives.

Finally, is there an underlying physical health issue at play here (the connection between physical and mental health is a real one). Does he suffer from chronic pain, or headaches, or infections? Again, chronic sinus sufferers - for example - say that having surgery to remove sinus polyps was like walking out of a bad daze they didn't even fully realize they were in. Chronic health issues might explain the anger he exhibits.
