Pretty sure she was investigated overzealously and every part of the investigation was leaked and publicized.

This action is to block complaints against Members of Congress from being investigated or referred or even acknowledged. It puts a few hand-picked Members of Congress in charge of deciding whether Ethics complaints against Members of Congress should be investigated.

It is an independent, bi-partisan body. The only reason to eliminate it is if you plan to do harm to your office or the nation.

I heard this morning that the reason they voted to get rid of it was because they felt the committee was "overzealous". I guess they were not overzealous enough when going after HRC so they thought to get rid of it.

If they really felt this way, you would think they would vote to change the charter rather than completely doing away with it, as in, don't throw the baby out with the bath water. It's like doing away with the IRS because of what happened in the past.

Drain the swamp, indeed. This is going to be the most corrupt four years in our government.

Using foundation money to pay off a lawsuit against the Trump Organization is like Whitewater except the gun is smoking and he is holding it in his hand.

Either the leader is lying and actually supports it or else the leader doesn't have control. Neither is a good look.

I am appalled by this, but please get the facts straight. Ryan is NOT supporting this. Leadership tried to kill it, but the members went over the leaders head and voted to pursue it anyway.
