But what do they want? When you protest, you are asking for change. What is the change that they want?
You don't know what they want? Trump has not implemented his ridiculousness yet, they are protesting.... immigration laws.... sexually assaulting women....
okay, i got you started you should be smart enough to figure it out.

My kid is in that crowd, and I will be writing him a note saying I approve of his absence. He is devastated by this election and the aftermath and I am proud that he is speaking out.
For the record, he is a magnet student with a weighted GPA well over 4.0. I have zero concerns about college admissions.

That info is relevant because...?
Because PPs were saying that an unexcused absence would have a negative impact on college admissions.
That's ridiculous. I can't even comprehend focusing on that.

Obama is president now until January 20th but, after that he is YOUR president, not mine. You can't make people like president orange. Did you accept president Obama? There were a lot of republicans who did not. Now the table have turned and we do not accept him.

Kids need to be in the classroom learning. Trump won fairly. Go back to class.
Peaceful public demonstration is a bedrock of our democratic system. America -- love it or leave it, baby.

Bet the school administration will be lenient.
As they should.
Unexcused absence will be on their record regardless of their leniency. That may hurt these students when applying to colleges and it's about time we stop coddling these teens and realize that actions have consequences.
Agree
I watched the protest, they all just walked, talked, used their phone, and giggled. A few chants. They did however block traffic from people that needed to get to work, put more police (that they also hate and are against) to work to keep them safe, and missed an entire day of school work.
But sure, administration should be lenient.![]()
