I'm a husband who travels a good 20% of the year as do my colleagues. I don't cheat. There are people who chest while on business travel, but they are the exception, not the rule. Making an assumption thst most men cheat on business travel is false, and shows you dont actually travel yourself for work. And its not only men who cheat.

Of coursr you never know. My wife could be chrstingbon me with someoen st the gym or a neighbor. That doesnt mean im going to carry around baggage afraid she's always cheating.

No shit. I counderstand be doing it too, that's the point of trust. I believe that you can't romantically love someone without trust. if you can't trust, you can't love , not really, not in any healthy way

I have the best job in the world. 100 days annual TDY to Asia in one week increments. My per diem pays for all my partying. Wife has no clue.

The more selfish a guy is the more likely he will cheat. This goes for women too. Know a young busty blonde who is in a triad relationship with 2 guys because she couldnt stop cheating even got pregnant by the guy sje cheated with amd her bf took her back. She miscarried and i wondered why or if she really did. Also ex cheated for a year on date apps when i was going thru the most tragic time in my life very selfish people. I think if a person is selfish and you put someone attractive in front of them they will cheat.

My buddy goes on business travel a lot and he has a huge secret habit. His wife would be sooooo angry if she knew.

He sits there and plays games on his Playstation in the hotel room for hours in the evening. That's his "travel perk".

Um, what? I go on business travel all the time and the only "perk" I get is I don't have to pick kids up, feed them, and take them to activities like I do during regular work weeks.

I don't know any male coworker who cheat on his wife during business travel. We all have clearances and if they did I'd be required to report them to security.

Well, NP, but I have to say while I don't live my life like OP, I think some of the objecting PPs are equally hysterical if not more so. Study after study has confirmed that over 50% of men have cheated (and a considerable percentage of women too). That doesn't count all the other possible "untrustworthy" behavior that could develop in a long-term relationship - addiction, substance abuse, money problems, significant lying, etc. It is impossible to "know" that your spouse has never and will never engage in any such untrustworthy behavior, in fact, I think (just as a matter of statistics) the large majority has or will, to some degree at least. I don't go around actively worrying that my spouse will - but he is not perfect, nor am I - so I certainly accept that it is a possibility. If the fact that I accept human fallibility and my own lack of control over the actions of others makes me a "bitter harpy" (really PPs?), so be it.

Yes, yes, I have no real way to know. But, my gut feeling says no, and as that other thread noted, the gut is usually right.

NP here. I've always fantasized about having a whole separate life on the side, maybe not another set of kids (why would I do that to myself? Also, thinking about this now, it would be difficult to hide a couple of more pregnancies, y'think?) but say, another husband, or a boyfriend in another city I could travel to on a weekly basis ... but what job could I get to accommodate this? Who isn't in constant contact with their spouse any longer?

I mean, I don't have that. But boy, would I love that.

Im currently on travel in SanDiego. I travel a lot since I'm in sales. I've never once cheated on my wife. Married 12 years, monogamous with her for 17.

Perfect example of the typical DC woman. And yet, they question why no man can stand them for more than a couple of years. Of course your husband cheated! Any normal man married to someone like you would cheat.
