There are 4 donut/pastry shops near me and they all make me feel sick.

Donuts are the only baked good that does this to me.
Does anyone know why this would be the case?

I have the same reaction to sweet breads (zucchini, banana, carrot, etc) purchased from a certain very popular vendor at our local Farmer's Market. The breads are absolutely delicious to eat but within an hour I feel so nauseous, woozy and ill that I must lie down or fall down. No one else in the family is affected this way. I am otherwise very healthy and fit but I do have other food allergies (that affect me differently) so I think I just have some sort of low-grade reaction to an ingredient. And I have not had a problem eating the same types of sweet breads from other purveyors or that I make at home.
