Holton has the holiday dance in early December. Same type of issue. Plenty of Landon boys at that dance.

I don't think this is the case. I think it is just the idea that being a sister/brother school that it is nice to invite the sister school to attend the dance. I don't think it is a big deal and I think it is a nice gesture. The Cathedral Schools are a family and they are actively trying to make that bond even closer so for those that have an issue with this or have a chip on their shoulder I suggest you get over it and just accept that these schools are part of a family and whether it is a perfect family or not - they are all connected and working to improve that connection even further.

If the dance is hosted by STA, then STA boys can bring a date from any school in my opinion. Girls from NCS could attend stag because it is the sister school, but they can't bring a date (unless, of course it is someone from STA). I think that makes sense. If NCS hosted a dance, then the opposite would be true...girls could bring boy from any school, but STA boys can only attend stag or go with NCS girl.

My DD (recent NCS grad) was never very interested in the STA homecoming. I think she attended once. After that, she declined invitations twice because she found it boring. She went to the NCS homecoming with bunches of friends. And contrary to PPs, lesbian NCS students already invite dates to the dance. Nobody cares.

An STA boy who goes to the homecoming dance brings a date. Boys do not go stag to this one. So what is an NCS girl who attends stag supposed to do? Crumple against the wall watching as the NCS girls with dates glide by with their pretty corsages and handsome dates?

Opening up the STA Homecomg Dance to NCS girls who do not have an STA date is bowing to pressure from the NCS mom crazies whose daughters do not get asked. You really think this is the fix for those fractured egos? It will just reinforce their feeling of inadequacy. Stop meddling moms. You are just making it worse for everybody.
