I occasionally do this - I usually just honk, but sometimes a middle finger just makes me feel better! The last time this happened, I was waiting in a line of cars to turn off rock creek park during rush hour. Some asshole sped down the lane next to the line and tried to cut in front of me at the front of the line. This line is there EVERY DAY and takes 5 minutes or so to wait through, so this ass was making the line longer for everyone to save himself 5 minutes. I didn't let him in and he got in behind me and started laying on his horn. So I gave him the finger and took a picture on my phone. Felt very satisfied.

And to the PP with the pennies, making a gesture with your hand is nowhere in the same league as purposely damaging someone's property for revenge.
I have never yelled at or flipped off a driver until the other day. I was going down a major road at around 35mph and a car that was pulled over on the shoulder just swerved out with no blinker or anything. I had to slam on my brakes. I honked my horn and yelled "what the F**K are you doing?!?". Yup, DS was in the car with me. DS (4) said two things to me "mommy why did you say that word?" and "ow that hurt my shoulders!" (I had slammed on my brakes HARD). It happens. I lost my cool. It doesn't mean I have road rage, am a psycho angry person, or anything like that.

The act itself doesn't bother me, but after we had kids I talked to DH about toning his road rage down, especially with kids in the car. It's just not worth it for him to get beaten or killed in front of our kids because someone cut him off. He agreed and just lets stuff like this go.

Eh, this is not that big a deal unless he exhibits this behavior in other areas of his life
Signed a totally rational otherwise level headed and known to be friendly and understanding person who occasionally has a case of road fury (road rage's less violent friend).
Everyone has things that set them off. The fact that it was a woman is immaterial. You dont know the gender if the driver of the car you hate until you're next to them. If he was calling her a b and screaming about it for 10 mins maybe but if he just have her the finger and said agree was being an ass when you questioned him then he's well within normal

DH never ever ever loses his cool in traffic; he grew up in Detroit where honking or giving someone the finger might land you dead.
Meanwhile everyone who knows me would say I'm the most mellow, easy-going person. I absolutely have honked and flipped people off - not often, but it has happened. Especially when I'm stressed about something else, like many of us often are.
Unless he has other anger or rage issues I don't understand why this was even posted.
Same here. I'm laid back but will occasionally honk and/or flip the bird. This area is full of asshole drivers who deserve more than that.
OP - if that's the biggest problem you have with your fiance, then consider yourself lucky.
If you believe this is a deal breaker, well then good luck to you. You will be a miserable person for the rest of your life because nothing will be good enough for you.
