I think so - white anglosaxon protestant.
And when I say protestant, I mean born to christian heritage, even if you were not raised "religious." Like, you celebrate christmas, and your parents are not Catholic, Orthodox, Hindu, Jewish, B'nai, or Muslim.
Indeed, that must be half of DCUM.
Look at the names you all pick in the name threads.

I feel terribly sorry for your children. They clearly have not learned history properly and they are subject to living with racist and egocentric bigots as parents.
I'll pray for them and for you.
Bless Your Heart

It's arrogant , but true. Manners are important but truth is more important.

One of the prerogatives of being a WASP is not caring what others think of you. Adopt that attitude for a happier life, OP.
Not OP but I'm quite happy not being a WASP. Seems so constricting when you have to worry about etiquette and traditions and elegance and tackiness. I'll take my loud Jewish family any day.
I have yet to meet a Jewish person in this area who isn't trying to morph into a WASP.

Dollar dances are an ethnic thing more than a WASP thing. People from other countries/cultures do this and have for ages. Are they tacky?
