Blatant bullying is not tolerated at Beauvoir, but unfortunately there are relational aggression issues that are more subtle and, therefore, harder for teachers to address. They do their best, but sometimes it's best just to separate kids to break up a persistent dynamic.
So "relational aggression issues" is the $40,000 phrase for "bullying?" I'm gonna remember that one...
Only if you want to be simplistic. Relational aggression is a rather subtle form of bullying. That's why it's harder for teachers to respond to. Teasing, attempts to exclude a child, or other more blatant forms of bullying are immediately addressed at Beauvoir, and the school overall is very sensitive and responsive to that. However, it's harder to tackle the more subtle stuff.
Such as, sorry, I won't be inviting you to my bday party?

Anonymous wrote:Instead of bashing a school why not move on to another? There are many great schools in this area. Though I suspect you will find there will be something to complain about at every school. That thing called perfection escapes us all...even when you pay to get it. It simply does not exist.

Should people say something in a place other than an anonymous board? For sure, but not many are willing to cross either the admin or the board. Which is unfortunate.

OP here. I guess it depends on how different parents feel about future vs. present. We value the present pretty highly, and are willing to pull out our DC if things don't go well and the administration is unresponsive.
Time passes a quantum leap more slowly for children. A year can seem forever, and we have no intention of leaving our DC in an unpleasant situation for that long. On the other hand, it's always possible that relationships that were previously problematic can shift. It's also possible that the teachers and administration are aware of something that we are not.
I think it's only fair the rationale behind their choice.

Glad we graduated when we did and don't have to deal with all the upheaval and negative changes. Sometimes change is for the good, but from what I hear and see all this change has not been good. To bad, it used to be a fabulous school!
Wow, hope you don't believe everything you read on the internet. (Although the "weird tip for losing belly fat" works great!)
