I feel like a lot of the posters here forget that there was a pandemic that forced us to stay home for months on end. Activities and venues geared toward young kids were the very last things to open back up. You can only do so many engaging screen free activities when you have literally all day every day for months and also need to not get fired from your job. My kids were two and five years old at the time. The two-year-old ended up using a tablet much earlier than her older sibling, because both parents work full-time, and we were in survival mode. She definitely went through a phase of liking Cookie Swirl C. Thankfully at 6 is not so interested anymore. Tablet time is limited to weekends and I use an app that only allows viewing of YouTube channels that I pick and it shuts off after 1 hour.

Embrace it as means you can get a shower or do whatever you want while kids as hypnotized while watching it and then turn it off as kids are hypnotized!

It’s so sad to see how addicted to screens young kids are these days - cars, restaurants, stores, everywhere! Try talking to your kids.

As for the poster who doesn't understand how kids find these things, my kid is intellectually disabled and yet somehow navigates Youtube better than we do.

I get that kids are capable of finding things on YouTube but why are parents letting them just find whatever they want online?

My kid’s best friend introduced her to this crap on her iPad when she was playing at her house. The friend has an iPad.

So anything on PBS kids, some Nickelodeon stuff, or some Netflix stuff (All Hail King Julian). They aren't digging around on the internet finding their own content.

My kid’s friend introduced her because the friend has her own iPad.

She definitely gets it for free because the kids send it to her. Have you seen the camera pan to her piles upon piles of boxes from her fans? And the part where she tells kids how they can send her fan mail and toys? OMG.

No kids are sending her toys without adult support. Who in the world is supporting their children to do this? Why do you allow your children to watch this garbage? We don't allow youtube in our house.

Her blather sounds like alphabetic soup. I can't make head or tail of any of it. And yes her voice sounds like she is on speed. And my 4 year old granddaughter likes her show. Me, I prefer Pocoyo, Booba and Gabby.
