Angela Chase's mother was the most annoying character from the 90s. NOBODY was more annoying than Mrs. Chase.

I like Samantha and Charlotte! Can't relate to Miranda at all (she treats Steve like a mother treats her 14yo son!) and Carrie has me scratching my head. Of the boyfriends, I find Aidan the most annoying (still on season 4, so it might change) -- it's like, drop the tough-guy schtick and quit thinking you're sooooo amazing because you cut your hair and lost .3 pounds (his "transformation" isn't even noticeable).

Miranda is at least half the women on scum.

Thank you! I thought I was alone in the world with this opinion.

OP here. I'm watching another episode and today, Carrie is crying crocodile tears in her bathroom and is begging Aidan to stay with her "forever," after blubbering about how she can't be married to him and how he doesn't trust her in a prior episode. Child, make up your mind.

Carrie was not at all a JAP. She did refuse to grow up, though.

Carrie was not Jewish. I also don't think she grew up rich.

I was under the impression that she grew up lower-middle/middle class.

Both the Gilmore girls. I was a fan but rewatched it last summer. Especially Lorelei. She is the most annoying person ever. Severely immature, of her own doing. Makes terrible, terrible decisions and then feels no remorse that is negatively affected other people.

And then Rory. Spoiled, entitled. Constantly showing off her intellect, and if not her intellect, how easy-breezy, down to earth she is by loving cheese fries or whatever. It's ine ir the other for that girl. Or both at the same time, but always to show off.

The back and forth with big got boring after a while. And I never understood why he married someone so suddenly. So weird.

What's good about Charlotte? I guess she's not bad, just sheltered.

I agree with you. I hope my thoughts below don't spoil anything for you since you haven't finished the series yet.

The girls:
- I liked Samantha and Charlotte, too.
- I couldn't stand Miranda until the very end of season 6, when she suddenly became tolerable (when she helped out with Steve's mom and told Big to go get "our girl" in Paris).
- Carrie was okay, but not my favorite.

The boyfriends/husbands:
Carrie's boyfriends:
- Even though he could be an ass at times, I usually liked Big. :o
- I couldn't stand Petrovsky.
- Aidan was okay, but not my favorite.
- I couldn't stand that Jack Berger (Ron Livingston) character. Ugh.

Samantha's boyfriends:
- I actually liked Smith!
- I didn't like Richard.

Charlotte's boyfriends/husbands:
- I couldn't stand Trey. He was a big baby.
- I adored Harry. He was a really nice guy!

Miranda's boyfriends/husbands:
- I liked Steve. I felt bad for him because Miranda treated him so badly.
- I didn't like Robert, the doctor (Blair Underwood)

The friends/"staff":
- I found Stanford annoying, but endearing.
- I also found Anthony annoying, but funny.
- I loved Miranda's housekeeper, Magda. She didn't put up with Miranda's BS.

Thanks for the breakdown!

I like Big, too, and am excited to see when Petrovsky shows up on the scene. I don't mind Trey -- he's nice enough, but he blows things out of proportion and doesn't seem to deal with his problems in a healthy way, preferring to sulk. His mom is a riot, but I don't understand the focus on being Scottish above all else. Stanford is interesting -- he could surely dress better and make himself more fit/attractive, but it's like he chooses to sit in his mediocrity and complain how hot guys aren't attracted to him. Was Anthony Charlotte's dress-picker? I LOVE HIM! Magda is a boss!
