+1 or Chantilly HS, with Rocky Run & Franklin for MS (maybe Carson for AAP) and lots of great ES options (Oak Hill & Lees Corner come to mind). Tons of GS 9 ESs & MSs.

Lots of FCPS high schools get at least the top 10% of their kids accepted to a combo of VA Tech Engineering, W&M and UVA. So I guess I would expect 30-50 kids to go, depending on how many had the $$ to go top 30 private instead.

It's hard to say whether it's sobering or not. There are other high schools that routinely send over a dozen grads to W&M and over 30 to U. Va. Clearly Edison isn't attracting as many top-achieving kids as other schools - we all knew that already - but it still leaves open the question whether a particular child does any better (greater chance of admission with the same stats) or worse (unlikely to end up with as good stats as students elsewhere) at Edison than at other schools.

For whatever reason you get a lot more house for the money as you move further south, even among homes that are equidistant from the District.

For 600K i would look at marshall high pyramid. If you only have 400k i would look at the above options you listed.


SFHs in Marshall HS district for $600K are crap.


Really these look ok to me, comparable to the homes in the above areas but with usable schools.
