This sort of "craziness" has much more to do with the moms empty life and social insecurities than her kids future. I don't think confident, well adjusted, happy individuals have these concerns or agonize over this sort of nonsense. I really don't - it's pitiful for an adult to feel this way and judge people and the institutions they attend as if they know what they are talking about.
