No way. A one day ticket is $101 dollars. You can maybe scrounge a discounted ticket for maybe $100. That's $200 each, plus flights, food, and hotel. And that is being EXTREMELY optimistic. It's probably going to be more like $165 for a one day ticket for an adult and $125 for the kid's ticket. There's just no way to do it for less than $1000.
Yet, you don't share how you get discount Disney tickets. $500 for everything would be extremely difficult, and not leave any wiggle room in the event of a cancelled flight and needing to stay an extra day, etc.

Here is the hotel. About 25 minutes outside of Philadelphia. But they are advertising discounted tix to the aquarium. And again, tons of hotels on that road at different price points.

I can't believe posters are suggesting "don't rule out Disney" on a $500 budget.
OP, if you have or can borrow a tent and a couple sleeping bags, you could easily do a week camping at Henlopen State Park in Rehobeth, DE. The campsites have grills for cooking and there are showers/bathroom facilities. It runs $25-$40 per night, depending on what night of the week and what season.
The boardwalk at Rehobeth has lots of kids' stuff and the beach is free!

My humble suggestion it to do a 3 day 2 night trip to Annapolis in the early summer, before mid-July. Go early on day one to tour the city -- can do the naval Academy, boat trip, state house. Pick a hotel with a pool (shop around for rates), day 2 drive over to Sandy Point for a beach day. Day 3, leave early and hit Six Flags on the way in to town. As long as you eat light or plan ahead for meals you will be fine. That way you get beach, amusement and museums all in one trip. May not be considered a high class vacation but it can be fun.

Yeah, when I read about "discount tickets" my first thought was "this poster definitely hasn't been to WDW in this decade for sure". And IMHO Disney is definitely not worth saving your last pennies for. It is really not THAT special when money is an object.

For Disney 1 day park tickets are $242 for the 2 of you (assuming peak, non-peak go down a bit, not enough to make a big difference).
If you drive down you can make it in one day, but it'll run you around $50 for gas each way (at least, depending on the car). You can definitely find a cheap hotel, grab a box of frozen PBJ and snacks and end up just under your $500 limit.
Yes, it'll be almost 24 hours of driving for one day at one Disney park. IMO I'd do something more local until you can spend a bit longer in Disney.
