Oh, for the pp stuck in media portrayal of gender, he plays hockey and basketball, climbs trees, draws, tends our vegetable garden, loves to cook, reads, plays an instrument, stages nerf wars, and loves video games.

I actually learn history from real history books. It would probably be cheaper to take your kid to the movies for his next history lesson.

We just saw it in SF & it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Front row mezzanine tix cost 2k & my husband had to spend 7 hours in an online queue. My kids are boys 8 & 10 & they are athletic, imaginative and artistic. Welcome to 2017 where people can be more than one thing!

The mixtape is a combination of covers of songs from the show and--in the case of "Immigrants (We Get the Job Done," linked here--adaptations of some songs, by contemporary hip hop and R&B artists.

We saw it in Chicago at Christmas and it was fantastic. King George is so good as is Lafayette/Jefferson. We paid out the nose for good orchestra seats. Worth. Every. Penny. We will never forget it.

I have heard of people jumping on line as soon as new tickets are released and getting them for face value. But note that, if you're looking at New York, the theater is very small (one of the "jewel box" theaters in NY), and there really are no bad seats. The music is very amplified, as well, so you'll have n problem hearing (in fact, one person we were with thought it was too loud).

Go see it in Chicago. I bought tickets for under $200.00 in the mezzanine and they were great - we just saw it last week. My DC is a musical theater fanatic (attending and performing) and we saw it in NY with original cast and we were going to Chicago anyway so I bought tickets when they were released. The cast is great and I think the production is a lot funnier and lighter than the original.

The King George in Chicago was absolutely amazing!

I'm looking at what's available on the website and it's either noseblead seats at $400 or better seats for at least $600, but more probably $850. Since we want to go as a family, that's a $3K investment for a 3 hour show. Do people ever get $200 or even $300 seats in the middle to back orchestra? I'm guessing not.

I love it. Can't afford to see it, but I've memorized the recording. Read the Chernow book last summer.

I teach middle school, and I had so much fun with the Hamilton fans in my classes this year. Some theater kids, some hip hop fans, some history enthusiasts. What they all seemed to have in common was pure geeky enthusiasm. They weren't afraid to adore something and get super excited. Which for 13-year-olds is a breath of fresh air.
