The team who won under "blind dates" was really pretty much 2 singles who didn't feel any romantic connection but both wanted to do well. They both wanted to do well and win, unlike the guy who quit because he didn't feel anything with his partner.

Totally agree. I haven't missed one AR, ever, but after seeing this season's premiere, I've sworn it off completely until they take up "regular" casting again. No gimmicks. It's so disappointing, as I used to look forward to my week's fix of AR, but no more. I can't take the loud, braying, fake personalities hamming it up for the camera. Gag.
