Well, this (seemingly innocuous) thread has gone off the rails...
The the witch-obsessed people: Every time you meet a Samantha, do you say, "Oh god no! Like Bewitched? Your parents are terrible people." ??? I didn't think so.
I am sticking with Audrey Hepburn.
EXACTLY. Love the name, OP, and I don't think she'll get a nickname unless she WANTS one. Just make sure you and she always introduce her as Sabrina, and make sure caregivers/other adults in her life when she is young call her by her full name, too, even if other children call her Sabby or whatever. Just reinforce Sabrina over and over. I have a three syllable name and have never had a nickname that stuck.

Deny deny deny all you want op. We're giving you OUR opinions. Pick another name.

Btw, haha to the hummus poster
Personally I would avoid this because of the show . She asked for our opinions and here they are. Think about people your age who know the show. They will associate Sabrina with the teenage witch.

Ok, but you are the adult. Are you going to tease a child for their name that is associated with a 15-20 year old show?
I would hope not. Bout children won't be familiar with this show. Her classmates won't automatically go there.
Of course not. But I'm sure her friends parents are going to say, "Sabrina, like the show?" Anyway do what you want. Personally I think it's cruel to do this to your daughter.
