This is very pedestrian but the KitKat bars are delicious

I agree with all the other "1970s cliches" as well

Why, of course? I love a good British pasty. Speaking of pasties, Pure Pasty Co in Vienna makes delicious ones.

Dark chocolate ginger cookies--I particularly liked the "Border" brand from Scotland.

Sicilian lemon curd.

Afternoon/cream tea.

I didn't try the third, but the first two...yes, yes, yes.

Also grocery stores have great selections of Belgian chocolate and treats from elsewhere in the EU. Even store brand stuff is good! I picked up some "soft jam" to bring home and it only lasted like 2 weeks in our house.

My suggestions are....go to L'escargot (if its still open) in Soho, to the Argentinian steak house on Swallow St in Piccadilly and if you want something sweet, go to the pasty counter in Harrods food hall.

Rose and violet chocolates, if you want to go old school. Try Harrods or Fortnum & Mason.

I would rather be a cliché from the 70s than a current DCUM cliché...

This was the best burn I've ever seen on DCUM. Bravo!

I think it should be repurposed in other threads on other DCUM forums. Really.

Scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Never tasted anything better and outside, they just taste different.
